This is all very true (well, I wouldn't know about the $100-million islands) No, you don't need to be rich to own an island. You just have to do your research and find something that's right for you. My island wasn't particularly expensive, but that's because it needed A LOT of work. Which isn't anywhere near behind 1/10 done. But it's also true that wine tastes better on your own island. Even the cheap kind.
