George Washington’s EggnogAs perfected and thoroughly tested by John and Brigitte

Makes about 4 cups

1/2 cup brandy 1/4 cup rye whiskey 1/4 cup Jamaica rum 1/8 cup sherry 2 eggs 3 tbsp sugar 1 cup milk 1 cup 18% cream

Mix liquor first, then separate the eggs. Add sugar to beaten yolks, mix well. Add liquor to mixture, drop by drop at first, slowly beating. Add milk and cream, slowly beating. Beat egg whites until stiff and slowly fold into mixture. Let set in cool place for several days. Taste frequently.
