Why I hate parties

This is me to a T. I'm all about real connections. I like to get to know certain people (yes, I'm quite choosy), and know them well. You can't do that at parties. I intensely dislike small talk with people who are scanning the room looking for someone more important than me. I much prefer deep connections with a few people who matter to me. Apparently this makes me a truly sociable person, which surprises and delights me.
