Today is tournament day: we're off to the Montreal area for La Classique Sport Action. I've never done that tournament before, so I don't know what to expect. But I've been training lots (I'm finally able to push my carcass; after two months of being massively unwell, it feels awesome to go hard). We shall see.
On top of competing I'm coaching/guiding young competitors and their parents, and that's always a lot of fun. Especially when they do well (medal or no medal) and are proud of themselves. This is what this sport is all about - train hard to improve yourself, go out there to show what you've got, feel good about your performance, rinse, repeat.
I'll let you know how it went.
Update: Meh, not my best day. Didn't place in sparring. But I got a nice silver in kata.
