I forget which friend suggested, years ago, that Sandbanks was the best beach in Ontario but this year, I decided, let’s!
I took the kids there Tuesday and it was indeed excellent. Which is code for: “I still have sand in my left ear.”
But yes, great. The lake bottom isn’t awful, there is a large safe swimming area, and it wasn’t too crowded. I swam, I read, I may have snoozed, and I tanned. Kids splashed and ran around for hours.
This earned them dinner at McD then we went to our hotel in Trenton. It had a pool. Guess what they wanted to do after dinner? Yes! Swim for an hour. I have no idea where they get this much energy, but I want some.
Wednesday morning we woke up to grey rain so off to the National Air Force Museum we went. Where I lost my camera to Eldest, who asked if she could take pictures.
Most of the ones below are by her. Not bad, huh? (Yes, I’m biased, but I don’t need to be; they’re excellent shots.)
