Today's inspiration comes from a website I got to thanks to a productivity newsletter I get. Ah, the tangled webs on the innernets. No idea who these people are, but I like and endorse the following thought:
Examine where you are spending most of your time, and look for ways to shift some of the tasks you don’t like off your plate and ways to take on more of the responsibilities that make you feel proud of what you’re doing.
I have spent the last year trying to divest myself of tasks and responsibilities I did not want to do any more. I still have a ways to go; some long-term projects and commitments are harder to shake than others, but hey. I'd say I got rid of about half the unwanted tasks I had. And lo, in that same time I've started reading and writing more, and that's a successful trade-off.
