Of love, art, and literature

One of the coolest things about homeschooling is how many books kids get to read. I loosely follow a classical curriculum that sees us reading a whole whack of classics from fables to fairytales to epics and poems and Shakespeare. Sometimes they read by themselves, other times I read to them, and other times we listen to audio books (librivox.net is a great source).

These days we're listening to the Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The Youngest likes to draw while she listens, whereas the other two play cuddling cats on the couch. It's wonderful to see them building such fun, loving memories.
