Oh, the fun discussions we had during the last campaign between those who said Barack Obama would not be as bad as all that (hi, honey!) and those of us who said, heck yeah he would. (Not that John McCain would have been so much more splendid, but that’s not the point.)
I think we were sort of right:
“The Obama administration will call for increased oversight of executive pay at all banks, Wall Street firms and possibly other companies as part of a sweeping plan to overhaul financial regulation,” according to government officials who spoke to the New York Times (emphasis added).
