Too drunk to walk

Too drunk to walk

Great news:

Drunk women who stagger about in high heels are to be protected – at public expense – from twisting their ankles.

They will be handed flip-flops to wear by police outside nightclubs as they wend their way home.

[...] the potential recipients seemed quite pleased yesterday at the prospect of a free pair of flops.

Danielle Bolton, 19, who was out in Torquay, said: ‘My heels hurt me at the end of the night so I tend to take them off.

‘It’s a hell of a lot easier to walk with flip-flops than high heels.’

Leanne Thomas, 21, added: ‘I go out clubbing at the harbourside most weekends and I usually walk home barefooted because my heels hurt. I think it’s a great idea.’

Ah, liberation.

  1. I went ahead and read through a few of your articles, and i have to say your future as a writer is pretty bleak. Your stories are poorly written and your subjects are poorly chosen.

I also read your article called "get a life gamers".. and What a crock of shit it was, getting drunk and writing something up the night before your deadline doesn't constitute NEWS, or even an OPINION PIECE.

I hope your life's endless spiral towards obscurity continues at an accelerated rate. I say good day.

  2. Great, read about this on the BBC news website the other day. £30,000 it's going to cost. So basically the tax payer has to pay for drunk sluts because they either can't handle their drink or can't dress properly.

  3. After years of her stupid columns in the Citizen defecating on Quebec, the Citizen finally fired her. Same will happen to her husband. Wouldn't it be funny if these two far-right zealot clowns applied for welfare? Hey, why don't you bring your hubby to a hair stylist? He looks ridiculous with his petit-page from the Middle Ages bangs!
