It took some time, but the results from Quebec’s inspection of its overpasses are in.
The province has decided to replace 25 overpasses and permanently tear down three others.
What’s more, another 25 require urgent major repairs, Transport Quebec quietly announced this week on its website.
The province last year shut down or demolished four other overpasses after initial inspections revealed deadly weaknesses.
In other words, 42 per cent of the overpasses examined by engineers were found to be dangerous.
